Visit Beautiful Brooklyn, New York
Posted on 2020-07-16Last week, as part of our $499 New York charter bus promotion, we discussed a few of New York’s most famous attractions, but New York is a big city and it extends well beyond the island of Manhattan. In fact, these days Brooklyn has supplanted Manhattan as the borough of choice for the hip set who’ve come in droves, attracted by Brooklyn’s (slightly) cheaper real estate and the artist and creative communities that have sprung up because of them.
Brooklyn’s status as adopted home is nothing new, however. In fact, it has been estimated that one in four Americans can trace their ancestry back to Brooklyn. It’s no wonder it remains such a popular destination: Brooklyn’s beautiful brownstone lined streets and open, green spaces are a welcome alternative to the denser, taller, and richer neighborhoods of Manhattan.
There’s plenty to see in Brooklyn. Visit Cobble Hill to eat and shop like a local. Pick up a delicious kifta roll from Darna Falafel on Court Street and visit Blue Marble Ice Cream next door for a tasty dessert after exploring Cobble Hill’s many independent shops. Head northwest to Fort Greene to take in the park, visit the flea market, and see a show at the Brooklyn Academey of Music. Then head south to Prospect Heights to visit the Brooklyn Museum, the library, and Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Arch in Grand Army Plaza and gorgeous Prospect Park. That’s only the tip of the iceberg of Brooklyn, so start planning your trip today!
